Late Minyan @ Beth Sholom - 5781
Late Minyan @ Beth Sholom - 5781
A note from Alan Fisher, organizer of Beth Sholom's late minyan:
Beth Sholom has offered a Late Maariv, Mon-Thurs at 8 p.m., during standard time for the past approximately 15 years. With the coronavirus pandemic, and with many members working from home, is there a need for a weeknight service at 8 p.m. in the winter? We probably could not get a minyan for an outdoor service in the dark and cold during the winter. An indoor 8 p.m. Maariv probably would not work until most members could obtain coronavirus vaccinations. A 15 minute Zoom program with learning, a Mishebarach, and the parts of the Kaddish we can recite without a minyan, was our interim solution for a few months this spring. If you would anticipate supporting such as service for the 8 p.m. Late Maariv this winter, or if you have other thoughts, please contact Alan Fisher, AfisherADS@Yahoo.com. Thank you.
