FAQs about the Annual Giving Plan

WHAT ARE THE LEVELS OF GIVING?
We currently have four AGP levels:
  • Platinum annual giver $15,670 (Household)/$7,835 (Individual)
  • Gold annual giver $10,670 (Household)/$5,3350 (Individual)
  • Silver annual giver $8,670 (Household)/$4,335 (Individual)
  • Bronze annual giver $6,670 (Household)/$3,335 (Individual)

(amounts listed are for Household members; Individual members' levels are half)

WHAT ITEMS ARE COVERED WITHIN THE ANNUAL GIVING PLAN?
AGP Participants may use their funds to pay for dues, high holiday tickets, kiddush sponsorships, mitzvah cards, Guys Night Out, siddur donations, the annual banquet, event sponsorships and various registration charges at the shul. Many of our members discover that they are already close to being Annual Givers and a slight bump in their annual donation allows them to join the program.

HOW DOES THE SHUL BENEFIT FROM THE ANNUAL GIVING PLAN?
Only about 40% of our annual operating costs are paid for by dues. The rest comes from fundraising and a major component of fundraising comes from the AGP. The AGP gives the shul predictable revenue that enables us to make better financial decisions and meet our financial obligations.

WHAT IF I ALREADY PAID FOR HIGH HOLIDAY TICKETS OR SPENT MONEY ON OTHER PROGRAMS THIS YEAR? IS IT TOO LATE TO SIGN UP?
You can sign up for AGP at any point in the year and all of your prior expenses will go towards your Annual Giving pledge.

HOW DO I ENROLL?
Please sign up below or contact Mark Cook, our  Executive Director, executivedirector@bethsholom.org. Personalized payment schedules are available.
Security Assessment: There is a $75 Security Assessment which is outside of the Annual Giving Plan; it will be added to your total.

Annual Giving Plan at Beth Sholom

The Annual Giving Plan (AGP) is Beth Sholom’s vehicle to pledge one sum in the beginning of the year and then allocate the pledge as you see fit throughout the year. The pledge is similar to a flex account which can be used at your convenience. Beth Sholom Congregation depends on those contributing to the Annual Giving Plan to keep our community financially stable and thriving. Each year, dues cover only 40% of our community costs. This gap, common to most synagogues, can be filled by your generous gifts. We are deeply grateful to our many AGP families for committing to being pillars which support our shul.
