Disabilities Awareness and Inclusion: Jeremy's Story
In January 2020, a couple of months before the pandemic broke out, I had the privilege of meeting Jeremy Jacobson and hearing his story. He was planning on coming to Beth Sholom in March 2020 for Disabilities Awareness and Inclusion Shabbaton, but alas, as many other things in life these days, it had to be postponed.
I'm pleased to share with all of you that after many months of preparation and planning, Jeremy is now ready to share his story with the community, virtually. If you can be free this Sunday night, October 18th, from 8:00 PM-9:00 PM, I'm certain you won't regret it. Jeremy is a passionate individual with a compelling message to share with us all, and I hope you will consider participating and showing your support! If you cannot make it, the session will be recorded.
We will also be joined by David Ervin, the CEO of Jewish Foundation for Group Homes (JFGH). Jeremy will share his story, followed by some remarks from David. The evening will conclude with Q and A from the community.
The program will take place in the Brodie Zoom Room (www.bethsholom.org/zoom, password 613613).
