Yizkor Book
Our Yizkor Memorial Book will be published for Yom Kippur each year, and will then be available in shul for the other times Yizkor service is recited (Shmini Atzeret, 8th Day of Pesach, 2nd Day Shavuot).  People are encouraged to take the books with them after shul on Shavuot as a keepsake of those in their family who have been memorialized in the book.
We will have a memorial page for the members we lost this year, and encourage each person to contribute the names of their family members and friends.  While it is traditional to say Yizkor for immediate family members (parents, siblings, spouse, children), so many more people impact our lives on a daily basis such as grandparents, aunts & uncles, friends, and cousins, and so the book has been designed to be inclusive for as many of your loved ones as you’d like to include.
Debra Band, a longtime Beth Sholom member, Judaic artist and published author, has enhanced the book to bring kavod (honor) to those memorized, and bring meaning and connection to the Yizkor service.
