1. Tuesday 4/6 @ 8:15 PM:Shtisel Explained - Season 3: Tonight’s topic will be “What is the justification for the Kollel system?” Questions we will address include: 1.) Is it permissible (or maybe required!) for men to study Torah full time and not support their families? and 2.) What halachic and spiritual values around Torah study are very present in the shtisel environment that might not be in other Jewish communities. We will have the opportunity to hear Kasriel and Netanel Linzer's personal stories and ideas about neurodiversity and inclusion in the synagogue context. Kasriel Linzer is a senior at Lesley University and President of the Hillel. Netanel Linzer is a junior at Adelphi University. He is an outspoken advocate for those whose needs and rights are often ignored by society. Kasriel and Netanel grew up in Riverdale, NY. Click here to register.
