We hope everyone had a meaningful Thanksgiving break, even as things were undoubetdly different this year. As we look ahead to the winter months, we have Chanukah on our minds. Please stay tuned in the coming days for an email about everything happening at Beth Sholom related to Chanukah!
We also wanted to make sure you were aware of three opportunities happening on Wednessday and Thursday this week:
Rabbanit Fruchter will be teaching a Women's Torah Learning class focusing on Chanukah, on Wednesday at 12:45 PM. The title this week is "A Case of Innovation with Chanukah Candles" This is part of a new series being co taught by Rabbanit Fruchter and Maharat Intern Emily Goldberg Winer.
Rabbi Antine is starting a new Talmud class this week on Wednesday night at 8:00 PM. Did you ever want to learn how the Talmud works and look at some of the commentaries? Join Rabbi Antine for an in depth study of the tenth Chapter of Pesachim which we will finish in time for Pesach.
Thursday at 8:00 PM- Foundations Class with Rabbi Cooper. Come to this class to learn some of the "basics" of Judaism. This week, we will review the structure of the siddur (prayer book). Note that Rabbi Antine's Tuesday evening class will not be meeting this week and will resume on 12/8.
Finally, please see below for this week's schedule. If you are unable to participate in any of the opportunities below, we hope you'll consider staying connected to Beth Sholom through our WhatsApp groups - see links to join below (click on the link to join the group):
