Shabbat Morning in the Daniel Pearl Youth Center

Beth Sholom offers youth of all ages and experiences an exciting shul home that inspires individual growth, communal connection, and exploration of Torah and Jewish life. If your child has special needs, please let us know at know so we can best accommodate him or her in our programming. Beth Sholom offers children’s groups for all ages, led both by youth professionals and teens, and also welcomes and encourages children of all ages to be in the sanctuary with their parents or a caregiver during morning services. For safety reasons, children must be in programming or with their parents in services at all times. Want to see particular a program happen? Get in touch with us to collaborate! 

The Torah Tots program begins with supervised play, and is followed by an interactive program at 10:45 AM that includes tefillah, singing, and Parsha stories followed by kiddush and a snack. Children should have a parent or caregiver with them at all times. Sponsor a Torah Tots kiddush in honor of a milestone your child has reached or a birthday! Email for more information or to join the parent volunteers who help to lead Torah Tots. 

Drop off your children at Kochavim (K-2nd grade)to join Morah Rachel for an awesome, kid-friendly davening, followed by stories, games, and snacks. Begins at 10:00 am. 

After Muffins and Midrash at 9:45 AM, a parent-facilitated parsha learning program, children in 2-5th grades are invited to join Junior Congregation with Mr. Helfgott, kids learn the Shabbat prayers and meet new friends in a fun and interactive setting, with lots of songs and activities. Make sure to stay throughout the tefillah for awesome games and amazing snacks! You don't want to miss this. Program runs from 10:15-11:45 AM. 

Middle Schoolers are invited to join special guests for age-appropriate activities and conversation when the Epstein service reaches the Torah reading service. Please join for great snacks and to explore your Jewish self as we delve into learning about Jewish thought and practice. Check the Dvar for upcoming Shabbat Unplugged meetings. 

Teen-led halachic minyan with lots of ruach and a special teen kiddush and after davening activity in the Daniel Pearl Youth Center. See Dvar for schedule and let us know if you would like to participate, leyn, give a dvar Torah, or get an Aliya. Begins at 9:45 AM in the Teen Minyan Room on the lower level. Sign up to help lead, carry the Torah, or give a Dvar Torah by contacting our Teen Gabbaim, Benji Wilbur and Danielle Azachy.
