Rachel Zutshi, Executive Director 

Rachel Zutshi currently resides in Rockville, Maryland. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Washington & Lee University. Rachel started her career as an auditor and has worked in accounting roles in both the private and public sectors. Her work has been focused on not-for-profit entities in the US, Europe and Africa for the last several years. Rachel is a married mother of two wonderful children (a daughter and a son). In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, cooking and playing with the family dog.

Stevie Friedman, Director of Events & Building Services

Stevie has been an events professional for 25 years.  She has a Masters degree in Event Management and Sustainable Tourism from The George Washington University.  Stevie made aliyah and lived in Jerusalem for 10 years. She's had champion Akitas but is currently between dogs.  She is a member of Woodside Synagogue where she helps run their sisterhood in-house catering. Stevie Friedman lives in Woodside with her husband and two children, and she runs a hat business out of home, HATtitude by Stevie

Arene Windolph, Bookkeeper 

Arene Windolph joined Beth Sholom Congregation in May 2018, as Bookkeeper. Before this role, Arene performed accounting, most recently in the construction and automotive industries. This variety provides Arene with valuable experience that helps her serve in many facets of bookkeeping at Beth Sholom. Arene attended Yavapai College in Clarkdale, Arizona and the University of Maryland University College in Adelphi, Maryland. Arene also fulfills her responsibilities at Kunzang Palyul Chöling Buddhist Temple in Poolesville, Maryland, as a Tibetan Buddhist Nun and in her spare time she enjoys hiking, art, writing and spending time with her family and two dogs.

Yael Grunfeld, Youth Director & Israel Shaliach 

Toward the end of his studies, Tomer went on shlichut            (a mission) to the United States to donate his time to the Jewish community in the United States. His degree was funded by the IMPACT fellowship through the FIDF, which was donated by an Jewish American donor. The amazing community here has increased his desire to make a positive change regarding Israel and the community itself. Today, his work here in the community will also be his personal journey to his connection to Judaism and religion. After an amazing year here in Beth Sholom, Tomer will be taking over the role as Youth Director alongside his Shaliach role. Tomer will be investing time focusing on our younger generation, the future of our community!
