EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTER DAY CAMP
MISSION STATEMENT Beth Sholom Early Childhood Center's goal
is to provide an enriching Judaic and secular program that encourages children
to learn, grow and be happy. We aim to help each camper develop his or her full
potential physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually.
PHILOSOPHY AND GOALS At Beth Sholom Early Childhood Center,
we believe that each child is a unique and special individual. We also believe
that learning is a joyful experience when it occurs in a warm, positive, and
accepting environment. Our camp program is designed to meet the individual needs
of each and every child and encourages them to grow and develop at their own
pace and in their own way.
Camp activities followed throughout the summer, will allow your child to develop cognitive, social-emotional, and physical skills through a variety of experiences such as dramatic play, block building, science, cooking, literature, music and play. In addition, our children develop an intense feeling of pride in their Jewish heritage, as they observe and participate in traditional Jewish customs and rituals.
Campers must be pre-registered to attend.
CAMP ACTIVITIES
Each session of camp will be based around a different theme with weekly special events. Daily activities include creative play, exciting projects, outdoor play, music, arts and crafts, dramatics, water play and sports. Each Wednesday, a special outside program is brought in to entertain the children.
To register for the camp, fill out this registration form, and emergency form and return it to the syngagoue. If you
have any questions, please call the shul office. 301.279.7010 ext 214
GAP CAMP is a bridge for parents needing childcare between camp and school. In the past, it has been so successful that this year, we are offering 3 separate weeks. You may sign up for whichever weeks you need. Gap camp will run from 9am-4pm (3pm on Fridays). You must purchase all 5 days of a week. Classes will be staffed by our school faculty. We need a minimum of 12 children to make a class viable with a maximum of 20 children. Classes will be multi-aged and filled on a first come, first serve basis. If there is enough demand, we will attempt to open a second class – providing there is adequate registration and staff available. The daily programming will be similar to camp with water play, playground & bike room time, arts & crafts, songs, stories, games and more. Gap camp registration form
